The microwave vs. the oven

As a kid, I had a bit of a strange diet.

I was obsessed with fish sticks, hot dogs and basically any thing that was grossly unhealthy that could be nuked in a microwave.

Every morning before school, I had my mom microwave me fish sticks, hot dogs or both.

A little ketchup and down they went.

But you know what was really special?

The weekends.

The weekends were when my mom had time to place those fish sticks in the oven and get them super crispy!

That’s basically life, there’s always two options: the microwave or the oven.

The microwave will be a lot easier, a lot faster, and it will still get the job done.

But if you’re willing to just be a bit more patient and put in a bit more work, the quality of the food made in the oven is astronomically better.
